Mirror Mirror on the wall, Panto fun for one and all!

The Mansfield Palace Theatre is thrilled with the excitement and enthusiasm that the public are showing for what is set to be another cracking Palace Panto.

With just weeks before the Panto cast arrive in Mansfield to start an intense and exciting rehearsal period, the people of Mansfield are once again eager and keen to book seats for The Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs, with sales currently pushing nearly 70% sold!

The Story of Snow White is obviously a favourite of Palace audiences, as the last time the Theatre had Snow White as its Christmas choice in 2006, tickets sales reached a staggering 97%, much to the delight of its lovable Wicked Queen at the time, Su Pollard.

Stepping into the successful shoes this time,Tupele Dorgu, known to us as Corrie favourite Kelly Crabtree, is hoping to retain her feisty reputation and win new fans along the way. Having been in the role of the factory girl and currently touring the UK in the role of Velma in Chicago, Tupele is well used to playing an outspoken and sassy character, preparing her well for the devilish role of The Wicked Queen. Audiences will also remember her from the BBC series Waterloo Road, ITV's Loose Women, Mersey Beat and Casualty.

Along with Tupele, the panto will also feature the ever popular seven dwarfs and, of course, the beautiful Snow White. This year we see a welcome return to funny man Mark James as Muddles, who also appeared in our last Snow White. Mark has since been seen on ITV's Britain's Got Talent as half man half woman singing duo, Renee and Renato. Joining Mark will be the lovable and audience favourite, Charles Burden as our Dame, returning to the Palace after his fantastic run in Aladdin during 09/10. Charles will be a familiar face audiences will recognise from the past!

Cultural Services Manager, Andrew Tucker said, "We are delighted that once again audiences are eager and excited to see our Pantomime. Compared to previous years' sales, we are currently three weeks ahead of where we were this time last year. It would appear that our popularity and good reputation grows with each passing year and we very much hope that this year's show will smash all previous records."
