If you've been inspired by the Olympics and Paralympics and want to get back into sport now is the perfect opportunity.

Mansfield District Council is offering six sessions of each activity for just £18 as part of the Council's Sports Development team's Back2Sport initiative to encourage people to play sport again or try something new.

The activities are suitable for people aged 16 years and over.

Handball is on Mondays from 15 October from 6.30pm to 8pm at Oak Tree Leisure Centre.

Golf, provided by Mansfield Golf Club, starts on Thursday 18 October from 6pm to 7pm at Mansfield Golf Club, Jubilee Way.

Basketball is on Fridays from 2 November at The Samworth Church Academy, from 8pm to 9.30pm, and is provided by Mansfield Giants Basketball Club.

Fencing, provided by TSCA Swords Fencing Club, starts on Tuesday 13 November from 7.15pm to 8.45pm at The Samworth Church Academy.

Martin Cook, Sports facilitator at Mansfield District Council, said: "The Back2Sport sessions are a great opportunity for adults to take part in sport and physical activity.

"They are designed for anyone of any ability who would like to try a new sport or activity or perhaps want to take it up again if they haven't done it since school.
