Half-price parking in Mansfield Town Centre

Visitors to Mansfield are being offered half-price parking in the town centre on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for the next two months.

The offer applies to Walkden Street Multi-storey Car Park, which is ideally located in the heart of the town centre between Mansfield Bus Station and the Four Seasons Shopping Centre.

It means parking will cost only 50p an hour at the car park on Tuesdays and Wednesdays during September and October.

The car park, which has 455 spaces, is open from 8am to 6.30pm. Visitors can enjoy all that the town centre has to offer at their leisure without having to rush back as they pay before they exit the car park.

Mansfield District Council is introducing the offer in conjunction with Mansfield Business Improvement District (BID) to encourage more people to visit the town centre.

Cllr Kate Allsop, Portfolio Holder for Economic Regeneration, said: "Mansfield town centre has lots to offer including an exciting range of big name high street stores, smaller independent shops and a thriving market as well as the Palace Theatre, Mansfield Museum and lots of cafes, bars and restaurants.

"I hope this offer will bring extra visitors into the area, encourage residents to shop local and will mean those that already visit Mansfield can afford to stay for longer. This will all help to give our market and businesses a boost."
